At The Coastal Canine Foundation, our mission is to bring hope, care, and brighter futures to dogs in need. Whether through awareness, support, or hands-on care, we are committed to making a difference one paw at a time.
Our Story
Coastal Canine, and our foundation, were inspired by two adventurous pups, Thor and Maverick. From chasing waves, to fishing trips, to hiking in the woods or mountains, their love of the outdoors reminds us that every dog deserves a life filled with joy, health, freedom, and fun! We also have become more aware of this as we’ve rescued, fostered, and donated to animals in need over the last few years.
What began as a journey to create a brand with gentle, natural pet care products for their after beach trips has grown into something bigger. We now have a storefront and foundation dedicated to extending that same love and care to dogs everywhere. Our goal is simple: to give dogs and those in need the chance to live their own joyful adventures!

Our Future Vision
Our long-term dream is to build a rescue where dogs can free roam in a secure, home-like environment. Here, they will learn routines, gain social skills, and experience the joy of living like family—all while preparing for their forever homes.
We envision:
- A Safe Rescue Resort — we envision creating a resort like property for dogs to grow, heal, and embrace a second chance at life. We envision an on-site, private & gated section of our property— that way we can always be close. We envision a nice, shared building for dogs to live together in comfort and freedom. We imagine couches, beds, blankets, toys, and even tv for pups to feel at home and learn how to interact with others. As well as some runs in case quarantine is needed. A place where dogs can have a routine, lots of play time (both indoors and outdoors), and can feel free to run and play. We have a goal to get as many out of the cold, crowded, & loud shelters and into our rescue as we can.
- Adoptions — we not only want to keep animals off the streets and out of the shelters, but also to give them an opportunity to find their forever families. We imagine families being able to visit the property, spend time with the pups, and find a forever family member!
- Fostering Opportunities — chances for others to help give back. Also easing overcrowding situations, giving dogs safe homes to learn and grow in, and giving them more one-on-one time. This also would help us take in more dogs. As we want a free roam shelter, we would only be able to accept dogs that can get along with others. However, we do have experience with reactive dogs and can help with advice and suggestions if you found one.
- Volunteer Opportunities — offering young people ways to gain experience, complete volunteer hours, and discover the joy of helping animals. Would also allow us to have a larger amount of dogs in the rescue as we’d have enough help to maintain and care for them.
